The 2011 BMW X6 M luxury performance crossover displays athletic character and phenomenal handling. A BMW with the “M” badge comes from BMW’s Motorsport tuning division, and has been thoroughly tuned for performance.
Under the hood of the X6 M is a hand-assembled 555 HP 4.4-Liter twin turbo V8 that puts out 500 lb. ft. of torque to the AWD xDrive system. The transmission is a sophisticated six-speed M-sport automatic with adaptive transmission control (ATC), three modes (Drive, Sport, and M Manual), and steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
Performance enhancements on the X6 M include dynamic stability control, adaptive drive with electronic damping and roll stabilization, hill decent control, and variable assist power steering. The M xDrive AWD system, and M sport suspension with self leveling air suspension are also standard. All these performance modifications result in a luxury crossover SUV that can get from 0-60 in only 4.5 seconds.
The interior features power sport M driver’s and passenger’s heated seats with memory, folding rear seats, Merino leather trim, cargo cover, and ambiance lighting.
